Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites or third parties. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our website and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that may collect personal information.

Security of Information

We secure the information you provide on computer servers in a controlled secure environment that prevents unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure of Personal Information under our control and custody. However, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed. Therefore, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, you acknowledge that (i) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet that are beyond our control; (ii) the security, integrity and confidentiality of any information and data exchanged between you and our Site cannot be guaranteed; and (iii) such information and data may be viewed or tampered with by third parties during transmission despite our best efforts.

Web tracking

Services are built into the website to optimise the user experience and measure the reach of the website. Your (technical) access data (see section 2) is recorded and the user behaviour is evaluated with the help of analysis cookies (see section 3). Personal identification is generally not required for web tracking, so that when your access data is recorded, the stored IP address is either not used or only used in abbreviated form and pseudonymous user profiles are created. These are not merged with other data and you have the possibility of revocation at any time. Personal user profiles are only created in exceptional cases and only if you have given your consent.
The web tracking services are usually provided by service providers who process the data only according to the instructions of the person responsible and not for their own purposes as a so-called order processor. This is ensured by means of contracts for commissioned processing. If the service providers outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (hereinafter referred to as "EU or EEA") process your data, a so-called third country transfer takes place. This is permitted if you have consented to it, if we have created guarantees for a level of data protection appropriate to European standards or if the EU Commission has classified the third country in question as a secure third country. The third country transfer of the respective service is marked below. Further information on the recipients of your data can be found in section 5.

The individual web tracking services of the Website are described in more detail below:

Google Analytics
The website uses the Google Analytics service. The provider of Google Analytics is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics creates a pseudonymous usage profile to optimise the user-friendliness of the website. The pseudonymity is ensured by Google shortening your IP address before further processing and storage of data, so that it is not possible to draw conclusions about your person. The pseudonymous user profile is evaluated after transmission for the purpose of optimising user-friendliness. By means of a contract for order processing, the company ensures that Google processes the data only according to your instructions.
Important: According to the current assessment of the supervisory authorities, it must be assumed that in the case of Google Analytics, Google will also process data obtained in this way for its own purposes.
By using Google Analytics, a transfer to a third country takes place (see section 6). However, with certification in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield, Google ensures that the European level of data protection is guaranteed in the transfer to third countries.
You can find more information on data processing at Google Analytics in Google's privacy policy: (17 June 2019)

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics for the purpose of recording and evaluating pseudonymous user profiles is your consent, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. For the use of Google Analytics on this website, the data will be stored for a maximum of 14 months or until you revoke your consent to the use of Google Analytics. Furthermore, you can adjust your browser settings or install browser plug-ins:
- You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. However, it is possible that not all functions of this website will be available to you.
- You can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the tool from the website Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when visiting this website.

Data breach

In the event that we become aware that the security of the Site has been compromised, or that users' personal information has been disclosed to unaffiliated third parties as a result of external activities, including but not limited to security attacks or fraud, we reserve the right to take appropriate action, including but not limited to investigating, reporting, notifying and cooperating with law enforcement authorities. In the event of a data breach, we will use reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals if we believe there is a reasonable risk of harm to the user as a result of the breach or if notification is otherwise required by law. If we do so, we will send you an email.

Legal Disclosure

We will disclose any information we collect, use or receive when required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Changes and Amendments

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time at our discretion and will notify you of any material changes in the way we treat personal information. If changes are made, we will revise the update date at the bottom of this page. We may also notify you by other means, such as contact information provided by you, at our discretion. Any updated version of this Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon publication of the revised Privacy Policy, unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the Website or the Services after the revised Privacy Policy is effective (or such other action as may be specified at that time) will be deemed to be your acceptance of those changes. However, without your consent, we will not use your personal information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time your personal information was collected.
